Buffalo Courier promotion “Womens Edition.”

2

The History of the City of Buffalo as a prominent city around the turn of the century into the 20’s and 30’s has had a lasting impact on graphic design history and culture, which is often overlooked as the city has had massive influence and population loss over time.

This poster was made to promote the Buffalo Courier’s “Womens Edition,” which was a special edition of the magazine written, illustrated, and edited entirely by women, with a portion of the proceeds donated to charity. This poster is a very distinct example of Art Nouveau and, due to this, was republished in the renowned French poster magazine Les Maîtres de l'Affiche.
